The itineraries below, for food / wine tasting and places to visit for painting and photo opportunities bare to help you to select where, when and what you would like to do while you are here. However by simply driving around the towns and villages you will discover that local produce, wines, cheeses, meats, fruits and jams will often be offered as a small taste prior to buying. Also take along an empty bottle so you can fill it up with the wine you like the best at the cantinas and some we can recommend can arrange for shipping back to the UK if you so desire.

The evening meal is very much your choice. There are many local restaurants, as mentioned above, from pizza (excellent and eccentric) from 4 Euros per person to 5* cuisine at 40 Euros per person. However if you wish to relax by the pool and have a simple meal of bread, salads and a BBQ the self-catering just bring your finds back and enjoy an alfresco meal, while watching the sun go down behind mount Cetona.

| Wednesday | Castglione del Lago, with a castle perched on the promontory into lake Trasimeno. There are many places to eat and two good cafes by the ferry point | Take a boat trip to the island of Maggiore and see the Knights Templar building that was converted in the 70'’s to a hotel. | Eat in Castglione del lago, we recommend Zairas in the old town that has a fixed price menu starting at 15 euros per person with choices of 3 courses they have awards for their food, service good & food great, or go to Osteria, just up the road family run, great value Dad makes the pasta! | Thursday | Travel in a totally different countryside to Radicofani where it seems you can see forever | San Cacsiano dei bagni. Take a moment to explore the old town and castle before taking in the sight over the lookout point then indulge in the thermal spa waters (from 2-6 only 12 euros to include towels, shoes and robe, more if you want recliners) | *Sorellas pizza or pasta family restaurant in Citta della Pieve, with local wine.
