Painting and Drawing Courses
Marilyn Johns M.A Royal Academy of Art and Russell Johns BA Hons. Art and Design, ATD have taught in many mediums and aspects of art in the UK and abroad. Now living in Fabro, just 10km away, they have kindly offered to conduct courses for guests who would like to take home a piece of Italy, that they have created whilst here on holiday.
The day before your course one or both tutors will meet with you to chat about what you would like to do e.g. the subject matter, a particular location, a skill you would like to improve on or a short introduction in basic techniques can be included for absolute beginners.
Within your tuition fees is included a substantial pack of quality artists materials. These are for you to use during your stay and to take home with you to continue with your new found skills.

The Courses
3 hour Painting Course led by Marilyn Johns in Acrylic on Canvas The richness and colour of Umbria will provide a visual inspiration for painting a landscape or still life. Acrylic paint is a very flexible medium and techniques can be selected to suit the individual person to ensure, what ever your abilities, an enjoyable and satisfying session with an accomplished painting for you to take home. 3 hour Drawing & Sketching Course led by Russell Johns In the art of sketching from nature, exploring and responding to the landscape and the architecture around you, to create your personal store of images and memories, within your personal portfolio. These images will enable you the opportunity to develop your drawings into a finished larger scale picture or to treasure as a reminder of your Umbrian holiday. Extended Painting and Sketching Course over 2 days Day one: Will consist of both of the 3 hour courses as described above, including your starter packs. Day two:
This will consist of a further two 3 hour sessions to
build on the strengths and interests you have developed
in day one, as it is likely you will want to extend or
complete work begun previously in the sketching and
